To make sure the first day of Club is just what it’s supposed to be for your child—the start of an amazing Science Adventure—we compiled a list of questions our parents frequently ask:
1) Where are Science Clubs located, when are they held, and how much do they cost? Science Clubs are held on site at elementary schools, one day per week throughout the school year. Costs vary by location.
2) How do I enroll in a Science Adventures Club? You can enroll on-line by click on the blue "enroll now" button or call 1-888-458-1812.
3) Do I need to pre-enroll my child? Yes. Enrollment closes at noon Pacific Standard Time three days prior to the first day of each Club. No walk-in enrollments are accepted.
4) What should my child wear on the first day of Club? Your child should follow your school’s dress code when attending Club. However, please note that occasionally children may get a little messy as they embark on scientific discoveries.
5) How does my child get to the Club session at his/her school? Children walk from their classrooms at school dismissal to the designated Science Adventures’ location at their school. Our Clubs start 10 minutes after school dismissal so children have enough time to get settled in.
6) How do I pick up my child once Club is over? Because Science Adventures is committed to ensuring that every child is accounted for at the end of each day, you will be required to sign out your child at program conclusion.
7) What if my child becomes ill and cannot attend club? Unfortunately, due to the time constraints under which we operate, we do not offer make-up sessions. However, our instructors will do our best to provide you and your child with any materials from the missed Club session. If Clubs are cancelled due to inclement weather, we will notify you and will make every effort to arrange a make-up session.
8) How long do I have to register my child for club? Enrollment closes at noon PST, three days prior to the first day of each club and walk-in enrollments will not be accepted.
9) Is the club guaranteed to run once I have registered? Science Adventures does reserve the right to cancel a club 7 days prior to club start date. This typically only occurs if there is an issue with space at the school or if the minimum enrollment has not been met. If a club is canceled a representative from Science Adventures will notify you immediately and provide details of a new start date if applicable.
